The Komering River is a tributary of the Musi River. The water resources in the Komering River are used by the community for water needs in agricultural activities, especially rice fields and tourism for local communities. The existence of the Perjaya Dam on the Komering River influences macrozoobenthic life. Macrozoobenthos is aquatic biota that is easily affected by polluted materials in the form of mud, sand and its habitat is used as a bioindicator for waters. The aim of the research is to determine the structure of the macrozoobenthic community which includes composition, diversity density, dominance and similarity of macrozoobenthic communities at 4 different stations on the Komering River around the Perjaya Dam, East Oku Regency. This research was carried out from March 2024 to July 2024 with a sampling location in the Komering River, around Perjaya Dam, East OKU Regency, South Sumatra. The method used to determine research stations is the method of direct observation in the field, with the determination of stations using purposive sampling based on considerations of the area that represents the research location and the environmental tone. The results of research carried out in the Komering River showed that there were 3 Phylum, 3 Classes, 5 Orders, 5 Families and 10 species. The total density of macrozoobenthos in the Komering River around the Perjaya Dam is low with a range of 46-100 ind/m2, the macrozoobenthos diversity index is classified as low criteria with a value of 0.6, classified as medium criteria with values ranging from 1-1.35. The highest value of the dominance index was at station 1 with 0.58, the lowest dominance value with a value of 0.37 at station 3. The similarity of macrozoobenthic communities with different relative criteria ranged from 25% -44.4% and the same relative criteria ranged from 57.14%.
