The productivity of rice in tidal swamp areas largely depends on the combination of local wisdom and mechanization technology in the agricultural system. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of integrating local wisdom, such as mutual cooperation (gotong royong), direct seeding (Tabela), and broadcast fertilization, with mechanization technology, including the use of four-wheel tractors and combine harvesters, in improving the productivity of tidal swamp rice in Telang Sari Village, Tanjung Lago District, Banyuasin Regency. This research employs a quantitative descriptive approach using a survey method. Respondents were selected through purposive sampling and consisted of tidal swamp rice farmers. Data were collected through questionnaires and interviews and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that significant factors affecting rice productivity include the level of education, farming experience, land area, superior rice varieties, and land preparation, whereas age does not have a significant effect. Additionally, the effectiveness of integrating local wisdom and mechanization technology is categorized as "highly effective" based on the average score obtained. The adoption of modern technology enhances land management and harvesting efficiency, while the application of local wisdom strengthens social aspects and the sustainability of farming practices. This study concludes that the synergy between local wisdom and mechanization technology significantly contributes to increasing tidal swamp rice productivity. Therefore, policies that promote technology adaptation in alignment with local values should be reinforced to improve farmers' welfare and ensure the sustainability of the agricultural sector in tidal swamp areas.
