Social resilience is the ability a person has in dealing with problems and pressures that arise in life. Social resilience helps families of teenage ex-drug users in Sungai Buah Village, Ilir Timur II Subdistric, Palembang City in dealing with problems and pressures that arise in life. This study aims to determine the form of social resilience and barriers in the families of teenage ex-drugs users. This research methode uses descriptive qualitative research methods and case studies as a research strategy. This research uses resilience theory from Keck and Sakdapolrak. The result of this studi indicate that the forms of resilience in the families of teenage ex-drug users include :improving communication with teenage ex-drug users, adivising teenage ex-drug users to stop using drugs, keeping teenage ex-drug users away from influencing environments, seeking help from other parties, and moving teenage ex-drugs users out of town. The obstacles faced by families of teenage ex-drug users are obstacles fron within the teenage ex-drug users themselves including : mood swings and the presence of habits and addictionm From the social environment of teenage ex-drug users, including : lack of support from the social environment.
