HUBUNGAN ANTARA REGULASI EMOSI DENGAN KECENDERUNGAN PERILAKU BULLYING PADA SISWA SMP NEGERI 1 PALEMBANG
Bullying behavior is one of the three great sins of education that is still rampant in the school environment, including at the Junior High School (SMP) level. Bullying behavior can have a negative impact on the perpetrators, victims, and witnesses. One factor that is thought to be related to bullying behavior is emotion regulation, which is a person's ability to manage and express their emotions adaptively. This study aims to determine the relationship between emotion regulation and the tendency of bullying behavior in students of SMP Negeri 1 Palembang. This study used a quantitative approach with a correlational method with a research population of 420 students and a research sample of 100 students obtained using the Slovin formula. Sampling was carried out using the Simple Random Sampling technique using the help of a spin wheel. The results showed that the level of emotional regulation of students was in the high category with a percentage of 31% and the level of bullying behavior tendency was in the moderate category with a percentage of 44%. Then the results of the correlation coefficient (r) = -0.155 and Sig. (2-tailed) 0.123> 0.05, which means that there is no significant relationship between emotional regulation and the tendency of bullying behavior. Thus it can be concluded that there is no relationship between emotional regulation and the tendency of bullying behavior in students of SMP Negeri 1 Palembang.
