Palembang city center is a place with many activities in it commercial activities. This activity is mutually related to each other, especially with the many types of goods, Services, and atmosphere in place with other places, it can be concluded commercial activities in downtown Palembang can be a special place of recreation. But over time the concept of linkage activities there dimmer. Packaged with difficult access, inadequate facilities and inadequate care, make this downtown activity stand-alone and less attractive. Therefore, it is needed a way that can become the initiator of this area activities to be better and become the trigger of introspection for the providers of goods and Services there, as well as to make the Central city of Palembang interconnected, interesting and easily accessible firom the typology of one with other commercial typology. City Planning and Design Walk in Palembang city center will provide a new typology that will develop the activities of the region with the public sphere and circulation, and balance the lifestyle of people who are now growing in place. In addition, the city walk which is the typology of mall type with the unification of open space will become the catalyst of activity in the middle of the dense space of Palembang city center.
