ANALISIS PENGARUH KETERLAMBATAN PEMBUKAAN LAHAN TAMBANG TERHADAP KETERSEDIAAN TOP SOIL DAN SUB SOIL UNTUK REKLAMASI DI PIT BATU HIJAU PT. NEWMONT NUSA TENGGARA, SUMBAWA BARAT
PT. Newmont Nusa Tenggara is one of the biggest gold and copper mining company in Indonesia that located in Batu Hijau, Sekongkang district, Sumbawa Barat. As the multinational company, PT. Newmont Nusa Tenggara took a serious attention to environment and always strive to achieve nature recovery from the mining activity which called by reclamation. Reclamation planning started by stockpilling the waste material continued by top soil and sub soil layering. The soil come from mining activites either inside ultimate pit limit (in-pit soil) or outside ultimate pit limit (out-pit soil). Nowadays, PT. Newmont Nusa Tenggara having a delay on land clearing process which caused discrepancies between the planned stockpile material by 21.621.200 tons. Based on revision plan analysis using TSS Miner, Minesight 3D Software, and adjustment to Golder Soil Model the conclusion stated disturbance area is less 3,9 Ha than previous plan, and soil salvaged about 49.442.720 tons with soil required for reclamation about 46.153.750 tons, it means it that could cover the soil needed for reclamation, moreover the ending soil balance was equal to 3.252.740 tons with 1.07 deviation. In conclusion, this positive ending soil balance indicates that although there was delayed for land clearing and reclamation until 2044 but PT. Newmont Nusa Tenggara still have enough top soil and sub soil in their stockpile.
