PT . Dizamatra Powerindo is a privately owned coal mining company that is domestic investment located West Merapi, District of Lahat. The method of mining conduced PT. Dizamatra Powerindo is surface mining. Hence, the weather become an important factors to be considerated especially in the rany season so the mining activities would go well.Today, the catchment area is about 39,88 Ha. Based on data from the field, the pit currently stagnated by water amounted to 150.700 cu m. Using Armor Pump PM 6L with capacity up to 360 cu m in pumping system yet still not capable to pumped the water out of sump, the sump which esisted yet still be able to accomodate the incoming water, so that the pit stagnated by big amount of water. Therefore needs a dewatering technical review in order to make mining activities can be resumed properly. The thing that needs to be examined in this case is water entering the sump, pump and volume of existing sump. To overcome water in pit, could be used pump with capacity up to 720 cu m to replace the last one. Volume of the designe sump amounted to 54,000 cu m.
