EFEKTIVITAS GAME BASED LEARNING MELALUI PLATFORM EDUCAPLAY DALAM MENINGKATKAN PEMAHAMAN PESERTA DIDIK PADA MATA PELAJARAN EKONOMI DI SMAN 1 INDRALAYA
This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Game Based Learning model through the Educaplay platform in enhancing students' understanding of Economics at SMAN 1 Indralaya. The research method employed is quantitative with a one group pretest-posttest design, involving 36 students from class XI selected through cluster sampling. The instruments used include tests, observation sheets, and questionnaires that have been validated and revised to meet eligibility criteria. The pre-test results show an average score of 16.51% (very poor category), while the post-test score increased to 63.07% (sufficient category). The N-Gain value of 0.44 indicates a moderate improvement, and the effect size calculation of 2.94 falls into the very high category. The paired sample t-test yielded a t-value of 13.85 ≥ t-table 1.690, indicating a significant difference between pre-test and post-test scores. Observations of the implementation of learning showed an average of 91.14%, indicating that the learning activities proceeded as planned. Meanwhile, the questionnaire results indicated that 94.44% of students responded positively to the use of Educaplay. The normality test results also showed that the data were normally distributed and met the requirements for parametric testing. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of Game Based Learning through the Educaplay platform is effective in improving students' understanding of Economics.
