PENGARUH TATA GUNA LAHAN TERHADAP DEBIT BANJIR (STUDI KASUS PADA DAS BOANG DAN DAS KERTAPATI TAHUN 2012 & 2022)
Watersheds are complex ecosystems that play a critical role in regulating water flow, providing natural resources, and meeting human needs. One of the primary issues associated with watersheds is flooding, which often occurs due to land use changes and inadequate drainage systems. This study focuses on the Boang and Kertapati watersheds in Palembang City, which frequently experience flooding as a result of land use changes between 2012 and 2022. The analysis indicates that the conversion of wetlands to residential and agricultural land, along with drainage systems clogged by sediment and waste, has exacerbated flooding conditions in these watersheds. The Boang watershed experienced a significant increase in agricultural land area by 72.4%, while the Kertapati watershed showed a decrease in agricultural land area by 63.7%, which has been converted to other uses such as residential areas. Flood discharge data from 2012 to 2022 demonstrate complex variations. The rational method indicates an increase in flood discharge in the Kertapati watershed, whereas the SCS and Nakayasu methods show a decrease in flood discharge in both watersheds, presumably due to decreased rainfall intensity and changes in the hydrological characteristics of the watersheds. This research provides a deeper understanding of the impact of land use changes on flood discharge, which is crucial for future watershed planning and management.
