Planning and Design College of Fine Art and Design with Collaborative Space approach was planned in Palembang, South Sumatera, this school is an educational institution that organizes higher education in the field of Fine Art and Design. The planning and design was encouraged by the community needs of education in fine art and design in order to face the ASEAN Economic Community, and also to accomodate the public interest in fine art and design that increasing every year. The purpose of planning the college of fine art and design is to built a college building of fine art and design that give comfort and hospitable to be used throughout the day, provide working space and recreational space at once, meet the needs of individuals and groups, and inspires through the design and other supporting elements. For fulfilling the purposes of planning and design, the college designed with Collaborative Space Approach. Collaborative space is a space that supports collaborative work. Collaborative space is expected to meet the needs of students for interaction that produces collaborative work, where collaborative work is really needed in search of ideas for students of fine art and design. Collaborative Space approach was used on the floorplan, circulation, site zoning, as well as spaces dan rooms that require collaboration.
