This study aims to test the performance of rafts using electrical energy with solar panels as a source of battery energy. This research was conducted at the Faculty of Agriculture, Indralaya Campus, Sriwijaya University. With details of the place of the Machine and Workshop Laboratory and the Soil Science Department Pool, from October 2023 to November 2023. This research used an experimental method, presenting the results using descriptive data in the form of tables and graphs. This research method consists of several stages, namely literature study, observation, field data, planning and calculation, preparation of tools and materials, making a voltage charger circuit. The parameters used in this study include testing raft speed, battery life and battery charging efficiency using electrical energy, the amount of energy that can be released by the battery, the power required by the electric motor, the speed of water and wind flow, and the efficiency of solar panels. The results of this study show that the average speed of the raft in moving is 1.02 km/hour 1,020 m/ hour and the fastest average travel time is 71.5 seconds with 9 trials with a track length of 20 meters. The raft speed is 1.02 km/hour where the raft uses an electrically powered drive motor. Performance tests of rafts made from pipes (PVC) against speed obtained the best performance on the raft design can be achieved when giving a load of 272 kg so that the raft is able to travel at a maximum speed of 1,020 m/hour or the equivalent of 1.02 km/hour.
