EVALUASI KAPASITAS POMPA PADA SISTEM PENIRISAN TAMBANG BANKO BARAT PIT 1 TIMUR PT BUKIT ASAM (PERSERO) TBK UNIT PENAMBANGAN TANJUNG ENIM SUMATERA SELATAN
On the West Banko mine, mining activities carried out using conventional systems with a combination of excavator loading (backhoe) and transportation means (truck) so as the mine advances will form a large basin. In the rainy season the water will inundate the mining front that will lead to the cessation of coal mining operations. To cope with the incoming water would require pumps the number and capacity to pump water. Rain catchment area in pit 1 East West Banko December amounted to 124.19 hectare. Based on the calculation of total discharge of water into the sump pit 1 East of 77.081,48 m3/day, while the capacity of two units of 385 kW Sulzer pumps are used in sump pit East 1 that is equal to 9.1 and 10 m3/min with a total discharge pumping by 24.066 m3/day has not been able to control the water coming into the mine. Incompatibility between the discharge water that goes with the flow of water being pumped which is a basic need for the addition of two pump units and optimize the operation of the pump that has been operating. Capacity plans for two pump units that have been in operation in the amount of 14 m3/min. To anticipate the occurrence of stagnant water that can interfere with the activity of coal production, it is recommended to make improvements sump dimensions. Planned sump truncated pyramid-shaped with a surface area of 120 x 120 meters, basic area 110 x 110 meters, and a depth of 6 meters in order to obtain sump capacity of 79.400 m3.
