PENGARUH WAKTU FERMENTASI DAN PENAMBAHAN UREA PADA PEMBUATAN PAKAN TERNAK TANDAN KOSONG KELAPA SAWIT (TKKS) MENGGUNAKAN JAMUR TIRAM PUTIH (PLEUROTUS OSTREOTUS)
Empty oil palm fruit bunches contain a number of chemical constituents in the form of primary metabolites and secondary metabolites, one of which is primary metabolite compound is fat which is found in abundance in the fruit, and is also found in empty oil palm bunches. Empty palm oil bunches are the main waste, with 23% being fresh fruit. cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin are polysaccharide compounds in oil palm plants. White oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreotus), is able to detect lignin content and also degrade lignin content, because it contains lignylolitic enzymes. It is hoped that feed from empty palm oil bunches can be a solution to meet nutritional needs in the world of feed as well as to increase the use value of empty palm oil bunches. Fermentation variables include the influence of the amount of inoculum, time and addition of urea. The results showed that the lignin content, 1.7%; cellulose 39.12%; and hemicellulose 18.54%. The proximate test results showed a water content of 7.23%; dry weight 92.77%; crude protein 48.14%; crude fat 3.99%; crude fiber 1.91%; and ash content 6.34%. The BETN content calculation results were found to be 53.24%. This shows that increasing the BETN content will increase the digestibility of empty oil palm fruit bunch feed for ruminants. The addition of urea aims to increase the crude protein content of empty oil palm fruit bunch feed. The crude protein content after adding urea resulted in a level of 48.14%.
