Corn farming is one of the important sectors in agriculture in Indonesia, especially in Musi Rawas Regency. This study aims to: (1) analyze the factors that influence the level of corn farming production in Suro Village and Air Satan Village, Muara Beliti District, (2) analyze the level of corn farming production efficiency in the two villages, and (3) compare the profits of corn farming and its contribution to farmers' income in the two villages. This study was conducted in November 2024 using a survey method and disproportionate stratified random sampling with a total sample of 36 corn farmers. The data used include primary data obtained through direct interviews and secondary data from related agencies. The results of the study showed that factors such as land area, number of seeds, urea fertilizer, labor, affect corn production. Corn production in Air Satan Village is higher, 4,360 Kg/Ha, while in Suro Village it is 4,233 Kg/Ha. The efficiency analysis shows that corn farming in both villages has reached an rational level of production efficiency with an economic scale at Decreasing returns to scale. The comparison of profits shows that the income of farmers in Suro Village is higher, which is IDR21,875,015/ha, compared to IDR19,734,947/ha in Air Satan Village. The contribution of corn farming to total farmer income reached 49.58% in Air Satan Village and 50.42% in Suro Village. It can be concluded that corn farming in both villages is profitable and contributes significantly to farmer income. However, optimization of the use of production factors and selling price strategies is needed to increase efficiency and profits.
