Gas power plant is one of power plant that widely used in Indonesia. Main parts of this system is a gas power plant compressor, combustor, and gas turbine. In this power plant used the latest type of technology TM-2500 where the gas turbine installed at the 4-wheeled trailer that uses LM2500 turbine type, this gas turbine is well known as a gas turbine which has good efficiency, because the performance of power plants were can be seen from the value of thermal efficiency, then conducted research on the analysis of the thermal efficiency of the gas turbine. The research was conducted in the CNG Gas Power Plant (PLTG) Jakabaring, this research used data taken from gas turbines operating in the field. Then it analyzed using the equation obtained from the literature, and then data is presented in the form of tables and charts. The results of this research on January I3rd - 14th, 2014. The average values of thermal efficiency based on specific fuel consumption in unit TM01 was 39,35 % and 39,13 %, in unit TM02 was 48,18 % and 48,62 %. The average values of thermal efficiency based on heat rate of gas turbine in unit TMOl was 30,61 % and 30,44 %, and unit TM02 was 37,48 % and 37,82 %. The average thermal efficiency based on thermodynamic analysis of actual Brayton cycle in unit TMOl was 39,96 % and 40,55 %, in unit TM02 was 41,83 % and 41,87 %, then The average thermal efficiency of ideal Brayton cycle in unit TMOl was 50,57 % and 50,22 %, and in unit TM02 was 51,82 % and 51,53 %. The conclusion of this research is from the comparison bot h of gas turbines, the unit TM02 has better value of thermal efficiency than unit TMOl. The suggestion of this research, in this gas turbine should be installed some measuring devices such as flow rate meter of the air, thermocouple in combustion chamber, and thermocouple in the exhaust in order to obtain the value of actual conditions.
