TINGKAT KECEMASAN DAN STRES MAHASISWA AKHIR DALAM MENYUSUN SKRIPSI DI PRODI BIMBINGAN DAN KONSELING UNIVERSITAS SRIWIJAYA
This study aims to determine the level of anxiety and stress of final students in preparing a thesis in the Guidance and Counseling Study Program at Sriwijaya University. The process of preparing a thesis requires perseverance and willingness in students. So that in working on the thesis, students are able to consistently work on the thesis until the research is completed. However, in the process of preparing a thesis, students often experience pressure that can trigger anxiety and stress. This type of research uses descriptive methods with a quantitative approach. The instrument used in this study is the DASS-42 (Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale) instrument which has been translated into Indonesian. The results of the reliability test of the research instrument on the anxiety variable showed a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.869, while the stress variable obtained a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.931. The research sample consisted of 82 final students who were preparing a thesis. The results showed that most respondents experienced moderate anxiety levels (30.5%) and normal stress (51.2%). This shows that students already have good coping mechanisms to manage stress, but anxiety still arises due to complex academic demands.
