KAJIAN EKSPERIMENTAL PERBANDINGAN KUALITAS DAERAH SAMBUNGAN BRAZING DAN PATRI PADA BAJA DAN KUNINGAN
The selection process of switching to the materials used greatly affect the yield and quality of the joint area. To avoid errors in the selection process of joint the material used is understanding the basics of grafting. In this study the method joint used is brazed and solder e d on Steel and brass. And testing is performed hardness test, macro structure, NDT, microstructure test and bending test. The results show that, the Steel specimen has a higher value than the brass. And the HAZ specimens brazed area greater than soldering. This is due to the heat generated by brazing greater than soldering. When viewedfrom the dye penetrant testing, and testing of the macro structure without etching, the specimens have very much a disability is in the process of soldering. A t the macro-structure testing also showed that after etched with soldering joint does not affect the macro structure of the pare n t metal. Unlike of brazing joint method, affected particular parent metal microstructure on HAZ region.
