PERENCANAAN DAN PERANCANGAN SEKOLAH TINGGI SENI PERTUNJUKAN DI KOTA PALEMBANG
The Performing Arts College in Palembang is an educational facility aimed at accommodating the needs for education, training, and performance in the arts, promoting creativity and collaboration. This project supports various activities such as theoretical and practical learning of the arts, the production of creative works, and performances, with students, lecturers, and artists as the main actors. The facilities provided include classrooms, dance studios, theaters, music rooms, reading areas, communal spaces, and a performance hall. The challenge in this design is how to integrate these various functions into a dynamic and interconnected environment that meets the need for flexible spaces tailored to users’ requirements. A spatial connectivity approach is applied to establish physical and visual links between educational and performance zones. The concept emphasizes open communal spaces, connecting areas, and natural circulation to create a vibrant campus atmosphere that encourages creative interaction. The final design presents a flexible performing arts environment in terms of capacity and function, especially in the shared lecture spaces within the academic buildings, with spatial connectivity implemented through inter-building links across the college area.
