PERENCANAAN DAN PERANCANGAN CREATIVE HUB DENGAN PENDEKATAN PLACEMAKING DI KOTA PANGKALPINANG
The creative economy has become an important pillar in the growth of the national economy and the strengthening of local communities in Indonesia. In 2023, Pangkalpinang was designated as one of Indonesia's Creative Cities by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. This city has four leading creative subsectors: culinary, performing arts, crafts, and photography. The development of the creative industry in this city still faces challenges in providing public spaces that support creative activities. Therefore, the establishment of a creative hub is necessary as a platform for training, research, production, and marketing of creative products. The creative hub functions not only as a physical space but also as a catalyst for innovation and collaboration. The principles of creative space emphasize the importance of flexibility, openness, an attractive atmosphere, and support for cross sector collaboration. Additionally, a placemaking approach is applied through three sub-criteria: being walkable, having charm, and providing a welcoming impression. With this approach, the creative hub is expected to strengthen the ecosystem of the creative industry and build emotional connections between creative industry players and the community of Pangkalpinang.
