FEASIBILITY SARANA DAN PRASARANA LABORATORIUM PADA MATA KULIAH PRAKTIK PEMESINAN DI PROGRAM STUDI PENDIDIKAN TEKNIK MESIN
This study aims to assess the feasibility of the facilities and infrastructure of the lathe machining laboratory in supporting the practice of the Machining Course in the Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program, referring to the Regulation of the Minister of National Education No. 40 of 2008 concerning Standards of Facilities and Infrastructure. The method used is descriptive qualitative through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the laboratory facilities are adequate, but not yet completely ideal to support the practice of 20 students simultaneously. Several aspects such as ventilation, lighting, and room layout still need to be improved so that the practice environment is safer and more comfortable. Furniture such as work tables and cabinets are in accordance with standards, but the number is still limited. Of the ten lathe units, seven units function properly and are equipped with proper measuring instruments. Learning media and supporting facilities such as contact boxes, trash cans, and work safety equipment are also available and meet standards. Overall, the lathe machining laboratory is considered feasible to use based on the Regulation of the Minister of National Education No. 40 of 2008, although some improvements are still needed to support the learning process optimally.
