STUDI KUALITATIF: PENGELOLAAN PRAKTIK KERJA LAPANGAN KOMPETENSI KEAHLIAN TEKNIK PEMESINAN SMK N 2 PALEMBANG

This study aims to find out how to manage the field work practice of Machining Engineering Expertise Competency at SMK N 2 Palembang. This research is a naturalistic research with data collection techniques using in-depth interviews. The source of data for this study is using the snowball sampling technique with the initial data source of the Head of Expertise Competency and the Working Group on Machining Engineering. The data analysis in this study uses the Miles, Huberman & Saldana data analysis model using the help of Nvivo 12 Pro software. The planning stage includes correspondence preparation, exploration, briefing, teaching tools, industrial cooperation, and health insurance. The implementation stage begins with the delivery of students to the industry, student monitoring, determination of supervisors, student attendance, daily journals, and ends with the withdrawal of students from the industry. The evaluation stage includes mid-semester evaluation, end-of-semester evaluation, final report, and assessment. The supporting factors in the management of this field work practice are the existence of POKJA, support from the school, industrial cooperation, and parental cooperation. Inhibiting factors include industrial locations, industries that are in accordance with competencies, over supervisors in one location, students with problems, student admission quotas in the industry, and finally basic education data.
