PEMBERIAN INTERVENSI HEAD UP 30° POSITION DENGAN KOMBINASI LATERAL POSITION UNTUK MENINGKATKAN SATURASI OKSIGEN PADA PASIEN STROKE DI RUANG STROKE UNIT RSUP MOHAMMAD HOESIN
Background: Stroke occurs due to disruption of blood vessels in the brain and results in disruption of blood supply to the brain. Proper hemodynamic monitoring including oxygen saturation greatly affects the delivery of oxygen throughout the body. Head up 300 position and lateral position is one of the interventions given to stroke patients to help improve oxygen saturation. Head up 300 position and lateral position is one of the interventions given to stroke patients to help improve oxygen saturation. Head up 300 and lateral position can maximize cerebral tissue oxygen, prevent airway obstruction, reduce intracranial pressure, and reduce systolic and diastolic pressure. Aim: To apply nursing care to stroke patients with head-up 300 and lateral position interventions. Method: The method used was qualitative research with a case study approach to 3 stroke patients. Results: There are five nursing problems found in the three managed patients, namely decreased intracranial adaptive capacity, risk of ineffective cerebral perfusion, impaired verbal communication, impaired physical mobility, and risk of falling. Implementation is given for 3 days. Discussion: The head-up 300 position and lateral position given can provide comfort to patients, increase blood flow in the brain maximize oxygenation of cerebral tissue, and improve lung ventilation. Conclusion: The intervention of giving the head up 300 position and lateral position carried out for 3 days is effective in increasing oxygen saturation in stroke patients.
