ANALISIS PROTOTYPE PANEL SURYA POLYCRYSTALLINE 10 WP DENGAN REFLEKTOR CERMIN DATAR DAN THERMOELECTRIC COOLER (TEC) SEBAGAI PENDINGIN
Solar energy is one of the most widely utilized renewable energy sources in Indonesia. As a tropical country located on the equator, Indonesia has a significant potential for solar energy. Despite this potential, one of the main challenges in utilizing solar energy is the efficiency of solar panels, which is influenced by the intensity of solar radiation and the temperature of the panel modules. Therefore, this study combines the use of a TEC cooling system and flat mirror reflectors on a solar panel prototype to improve voltage, current, power output, and overall efficiency. The research involved testing two prototypes: one without reflectors and a TEC cooling system, and another equipped with both. The results show that the 10 Wp solar panel prototype with reflectors and TEC produced the highest voltage and current at 12.86 V and 0.504 A at 12:00 PM WIB, while also reducing the panel surface temperature compared to the prototype without enhancements, which produced 11.983 V and 0.448 A. Furthermore, the highest power and efficiency achieved were also greater, at 6.48 W and 7.1521%, compared to 5.36 W and 5.9707% in the untreated prototype. This improvement is attributed to the reflectors' role in increasing solar radiation intensity and the automatic TEC cooling system’s ability to reduce the surface temperature of the solar panel.
