EVALUASI USER EXPERIENCE APLIKASI WHATSAPP MENGGUNAKAN METODE USER EXPERIENCE QUESTIONNAIRE (UEQ)
WhatsApp is a communication application that has been widely used in Indonesia for a long time and is frequently utilized by diverse demographics as an online communication tool. This study aims to evaluate the quality of WhatsApp’s user experience (UX) using the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) method. The UEQ measures user perceptions across six UX dimensions: attractiveness, perspicuity, efficiency, dependability, stimulation, and novelty. Data were collected via a Google Form questionnaire distributed to 234 active WhatsApp users, encompassing respondents aged under 17 to over 50 years, diverse residential locations, occupations, and varying durations of WhatsApp usage. The analysis revealed positive evaluation scores across all UEQ variables. The highest mean score was observed in the efficiency dimension (1.807), while the lowest mean score was in novelty (1.381). Overall, the results demonstrate that WhatsApp delivers excellent user experience quality, with strong performance in usability and reliability. This study concludes with recommendations to further enhance features such as interface innovation and personalization to maintain long-term user satisfaction.
