PERBANDINGAN KINERJA BATERAI VRLA DAN BATERAI LITHIUM-ION 10 AH PADA PEMANFAATAN LAMPU TERAS OTOMATIS BERBASIS PANEL SURYA DI GEDUNG S2 BUKIT ASAM
This study compares the performance of VRLA batteries and 10 Ah Lithium-Ion batteries in an automatic solar panel-based porch light system at the S2 Building in Bukit Asam, Sriwijaya University. The system consists of a 20 Wp polycrystalline solar panel, Solar Charge Controller, INA219 sensor, and ESP32 microcontroller. The parameters observed include voltage, current, and power during the charging and discharging processes. At 09.00 WIB, the charging current of the VRLA battery reached 1.02 A and the Lithium-Ion 1.10 A. The maximum current was recorded at 12.00 WIB, which was 1.10 A for the VRLA battery and 1.14 A for the Lithium-Ion battery. This shows that the Lithium-Ion receives current faster. In terms of voltage, both batteries reach maximum voltage, but only the Lithium-Ion battery is stable at 12.5 V at the end of charging. When discharging, the VRLA power drops from 9.918 W to 5.684 W, while Lithium-Ion from 9.132 W to 6.084 W, indicating that the Lithium-Ion power drop is more stable and gradual. The results show that Lithium-Ion batteries have superior performance in terms of current, voltage, and power stability.
