PENGARUH VARIASI INTENSITAS CURAH HUJAN DAN KETINGGIAN TERHADAP DAYA KELUARAN DARI PROTOTIPE PIEZOELEKTRIK TIPE LEAD ZIRCONATE TITANAE (PZT)
Renewable energy has become a vital solution to address the growing demand for electricity driven by population growth, urbanization, and industrialization. The availability of electricity supports various human activities, both at the individual and industrial levels. As technology advances, electricity demand continues to rise, while supply remains limited in several regions. This study aims to analyze the effect of rainfall intensity and height on the output power of a piezoelectric prototype made from Lead Zirconate Titanate (PZT), which converts mechanical energy from raindrops into electrical energy. The tested rainfall intensities include low (130 mm³/s), medium (270 mm³/s), and high (410 mm³/s), with varying falling heights ranging from 100 to 150 cm. The results indicate that increasing rainfall intensity significantly enhances the output voltage and current, whereas increasing the falling height reduces the output power. The maximum voltage of 1.764 V and maximum current of 0.001217 A were achieved at a high rainfall intensity (410 mm³/s) and a height of 100 cm. These findings highlight the potential application of PZT-based piezoelectric devices as an alternative energy source in high-rainfall environments.
