RANCANG BANGUN PEMBANGKIT LISTRIK BERBASIS THERMOELECTRIC GENERATOR YANG MEMANFAATKAN PANAS MATAHARI DENGAN PENAMBAHAN LENSA FRESNEL SERTA HEATSINK YANG MENGGUNAKAN WATER COOLANT SEBAGAI MEDIA PENDINGIN
Thermoelectric generator (TEG) is a technology that converts heat into electricity and has the potential to serve as an environmentally friendly power source. This study designed a prototype power generator based on six SP1848-27145 SA type TEG modules arranged in series. The heat source comes from solar radiation focused by a Fresnel lens onto a black-painted aluminum plate. The cold side uses a heatsink submerged in water coolant. Between the hot and cold sides, a thermal insulator made of bubble laminated foil is installed to minimize heat transfer. Test results show that the temperature difference between the hot and cold sides affects the electrical output. At the highest temperature difference of 19,7°C, the system produced a voltage of 2,04 V, a current of 0,564 mA, and a power output of 0,001264 W. Conversely, at the lowest temperature difference of 12,2°C, the output dropped to 1,26 V, 0,044 mA, and 0,000075 W. These results indicate that the developed TEG system has potential as a simple electricity generator based on renewable energy.
