PREVALENSI FRAKTUR MIDFASIAL DI RSUP DR. MOHAMMAD HOESIN PERIODE 2014 – 2017.
Background: Midfacial fractures is one of the most commonly maxillofacial fractures. Fractures site are located on midface complex structure such as os nasal, os palate, os zygomatic, os maxilla, and os maxilla alveolar that has important function in facial aesthetics, respiratory and masticatory system. Pwpose: To determine the prevalence of midfacial fractures at RSUP Dr.Mohammad Hoesin period 2014-2017. Methods: This study was using descriptive survey with a cross-sectional design. Data was obtained from medical records in the Installation Medical Record RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin. Data was recorded by age, gender, etiology, and anatomies site of midfacial fractures. Result and Conclusions: The result showed there were 139 patients with midfacial fractures period 2014-2017. The male and female ratio of midfacial fractures was 4:1. The highest incidence was seen in age group of22-39 years with 38,13%.from total cases. Most injuries were caused by road traffic accidents with 53,24% total cases. The most fracture pattern of midfacial fractures was zygomatic fracture with 38, 85% from total cases.
