EVALUASI PENGARUH PENETESAN Beauveria bassiana DAN Metarhizium anisopliae TERHADAP TELUR Verania lineata (Thunberg)
Insect pest attacks on plants are very detrimental, such like aphids and Spodoptera frugiperda on maize. The use of pesticides to deal with insect pests is not recommended because they have the potential damage the environment, so biological agents can be used to control insect pest attacks. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of Beauveria bassiana and Metarhizium anisopliae on Verania lineata eggs. This research will conduct using the Randomized Block Design (RBD) method at the Entomology Laboratory, Department of Plant Pests and Diseases, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, with 3 treatments, namely the treatment of isolates of the fungus Beauveria bassiana, Metarhizium anisopliae and control and 3 replications. All data regarding changes in egg color, behavior of hatching eggs, percentage of normal eggs, abnormal eggs, hatched and non-hatched eggs, and eggs infected with fungus were tested using ANOVA.
