Backgorund: The patient’s medical history should be obtained precisely and accurately through anamnesis. This is based on anamnesis being the first step in oral care, influencing the doctor and patient relationship, and preventing malpractice. Good anamnesis skills are a competency that must be possessed by dental students and dentist so that they can determine an accurate diagnosis. Objective: This study aims to overview of the attitude of dental profession students faculty medicine of sriwijaya university inconducting anamnesis. Method: Descriptive observational research cross-sectional study involving dental profession students faculty of medicine class 54 and 55. The researchinstrument was a google form questionnaire adapted form previous research whichcontained 22 closed question with a 5 likert scale. Results: Data obtained from 100% of respondents (94 people) with the results of respondent class 54 (91,3%) and class 55(95,8%) had a good attitude in conducting anamnesis. Conclusion: Overview of the attitude of dental profession students faculty medicine of sriwijaya university inconducting anamnesis is classified as good with a percentage of 93,6%.
