PENGARUH GROSS DOMESTIC PRODUCT PERTANIAN DAN PRODUKSI PETERNAKAN TERHADAP EMISI KARBON DI NEGARA EMERGING MARKET
This study aims to analyze the effect of the contribution of the agricultural sector and livestock production on carbon emissions in emerging market countries, namely China, India, Indonesia, Brazil, Thailand during the period 2012 - 2022. Research data obtained from FAOSTAT, World Bank, World In Data. The analysis technique used is panel data regression analysis technique with Fixed Effect Model (FEM) method. The results showed that Gross Domestic Product in the agricultural sector and livestock production had a positive and significant influence on carbon emissions. The agricultural sector still often converts peatlands into agricultural land and excessive use of chemical fertilizers. Meanwhile, livestock production is not well managed and the processing of animal products still uses fossil energy. This study recommends sustainable development strategies, especially in the agriculture and livestock sectors, by using renewable energy such as bioenergy and integrating agricultural waste as animal feed and animal waste as organic fertilizer. The findings provide insights for policy makers in designing sustainable agriculture to support environment-related Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) especially in emerging market countries.
