As one of the countries with the highest cases in Southeast Asia, Indonesia is experiencing an increasing trend, including in South Sumatra and Ogan Ilir Regency. The Indralaya Health Center recorded the highest number of patients in its area. One important aspect of managing diabetes mellitus is monitoring blood glucose levels, which aims to prevent complications such as hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia. However, the level of compliance of patients in carrying out this monitoring is still low. This study aims to determine the effect of the diabetes mellitus poster "POLITUS" on increasing the knowledge and attitude of people with diabetes mellitus about monitoring blood glucose levels. The study used a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research sample consisted of 30 people with diabetes mellitus who were selected using purposive sampling in the work area of the Indralaya Health Center. Data were collected using validated knowledge and attitude questionnaires to measure the level of knowledge and attitudes before and after the intervention. The data were analyzed using the Marginal Homogeneity and McNemar tests. The results of theanalysis of the level of knowledge with the Marginal Homogeneity test showed that there was a significant influence with a p value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). The results of attitude analysis with the McNemar test showed that there was a significant influence with a p value of 0.001 (p < 0.05). The results of the study showed that the use of "POLITUS" had a significant effect on increasing the knowledge and attitude of people with diabetes mellitus in monitoring blood glucose levels. The "POLITUS" media can add information about monitoring blood glucose levels. The "POLITUS" media can be a recommendation for health workers in increasing the knowledge and attitude of people with diabetes mellitus regarding blood glucose level monitoring.
