PENGARUH CEKAMAN KEKERINGAN DAN MEDIA TANAM TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL TANAMAN KATUK (SAUROPUS ANDROGYNUS L. MERR)
Katuk is an annual vegetable commodity that has many properties because it contains active compounds such as flavonoids, steroids, and tannins that are used as antioxidants. Watering volume in plants can be one of the factors that can affect plant growth and yield. This study aims to influence the effect of drought stress and different planting media on the growth and yield of katuk (Sauropus androgynus L. Merr). This research was conducted in the Greenhouse of the Department of Agricultural Cultivation, Sriwijaya University from July to September 2024. The research design used was a randomized group factorial design (RAKF) with two factors. The first factor is drought stress with a watering volume approach with 3 levels of treatment, including C1 (250 ml), C2 (500 ml), and C3 (750 ml). The second factor is the addition of manure, including M1 (no manure), M2 (chicken manure), M3 (goat manure) with a ratio of 4:1. The observed variables included shoot length, stem diameter, rachis length, number of leaves, number of shoots, leaf greenness, soil moisture, total leaf area, consumption fresh weight, stem fresh weight, leaf fresh weight, rachis fresh weight, number of leaflets consumption, root fresh weight, root length, consumption dry weight, stem dry weight, leaf dry weight, rachis dry weight, and root dry weight. The data obtained were then analyzed with analysis of variance (ANOVA) method using R-studio software. The results showed that the cultivation of cotton plants with a drought stress approach and different planting media showed the best growth results in the C3 M3 treatment compared to other combinations.
