PENGARUH PDRB PER KAPITA, PENGANGGURAN DAN JUMLAH PENDUDUK TERHADAP KETIMPANGAN PEMBANGUNAN DI PULAU SUMATERA
This study aims to analyze the level of development inequality in Sumatra Island and to analyze the effect of GRDP per capita, open unemployment rate and population on development inequality in Sumatra Island in 2014-2023. The analysis technique used is the Williamson index and panel regression analysis using the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) approach method with individual analysis results in 10 provinces of Sumatra Island. The results of the study based on calculation of the williamson index of inequality in Sumatra Island are classified into 3 categories, namely high (South Sumatra and North Sumatra Provinces) medium (Riau Islands, Jambi, Riau, Bengkulu and Aceh) low (West Sumatra Province, Lampung and Bangka Belitung Islands). Based on panel data regression, it shows that GRDP per capita has a positive and significant effect, while the open unemployment rate has a positive but insignificant effect, and population has a negative and significant effect on development inequality in Sumatra Island in 2014-2023.
