KONSUMSI PAKAN DAN PERTUMBUHAN LARVA IKAN BETOK (ANABAS TESTUDINEUS) PADA SUHU MEDIA YANG BERBEDA
Climbing perch is a fish that has high economic value and has potential as an ornamental fish, but the production still rely on natural catches and are rarely cultivated. The problem that often occurs in increasing the fish fry production is the critical phase in the larvae stadia. This research aimed to determine the best media temperature on feed consumption, growth, feed efficiency and survival of climbing perch larvae. This research was conducted at the Aquaculture Laboratory and Experimental Pond, Aquaculture Study Program, Department of Fisheries, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sriwijaya, from December 2024 to January 2025. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments with different media temperatures and 3 replicates, namely P1 (26±0.3ºC), P2 (28±0.3ºC), P3 (30±0.3ºC) and P4 (32±0.3ºC). Climbing perch larvae used were 15 days after hatching with a stocking density of 5 individu L-1 and reared for 30 days. The results showed that different media temperatures had a significant effect on daily feed consumption, daily weight and length growth rate, feed efficiency and survival of climbing perch larvae. The P4 treatment (32±0.3ºC) produced the highest feed consumption of 4.58 g day-1, daily weight growth rate at day 0 to 15 was 22.81% day-1 and daily length growth rate was 7.64% day-1, while daily weight growth rate at day 15 to 30 was 12.31% day-1 and daily length growth rate was 4.73% day-1, feed efficiency of 86.26% and the highest survival rate of 90.00%. During the study pH ranged from 6.52-6.62, dissolved oxygen 5.3-5.7 mg L-1 and ammonia 0.043-0.048 mg L-1.
