EFISIENSI DAN ECONOMIC OF SCALE PADA INDUSTRI PRODUK SUSU BUBUK DAN SUSU KENTAL (ISIC 10520) DI INDONESIA
Efficiency and economies of scale in the powdered and sweetened condensed milk industry play a crucial role in supporting the sector’s competitiveness and sustainability. Patterns of input utilization namely raw materials, labor, and capital reflect the degree of optimization in industry management. This study employs Stochastic Frontier Analysis (SFA) to evaluate technical, allocative, and economic efficiency. The results reveal an average technical efficiency of 71,70 percent, indicating inefficiencies that could be remedied through more optimal input management. An allocative efficiency of 8,7826 suggests that input combinations are not optimal relative to their prices. In terms of economic efficiency, a value of 6,2971 illustrates that the industry has yet to achieve ideal economic efficiency, which should arise from a balance of technical and allocative efficiency. The analysis also indicates increasing returns to scale (RTS = 1,1114), showing that proportional input increases can yield greater output, although low efficiency may limit this potential.
