PENEKANAN PENYAKIT Cucumber mosaic virus PADA TANAMAN PARE (Momordica charantia) MENGGUNAKAN BIOSTIMULAN DAN PUPUK MgCl2+CaCl2
Bitter melon or bitter gourd (Momordica charantia) is a plant included in the Cucurbitaceae family that is creeping and susceptible to Cucumber mosaic virus (CMV). Giving a combination of biostimulants and MgCl2+CaCl2 is thought to increase seedling growth and suppress CMV disease in bitter gourd plants. This research was conducted in the greenhouse of the Department of Plant Pests and Diseases, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University from June to November 2023. Data analysis in this study used Factorial Complete Randomized Design and data was analyzed using by ANOVA. The results obtained from this study are that in the nursery phase applied biostimulants do not have a significant effect on the parameters of germination percentage and leaf area. The same thing was also obtained in the adult plant phase, the application of biostimulants + MgCl2+CaCl2 did not have a significant effect on the suppression of CMV disease with a disease suppression value of RL (19%), RLWB (-6%), and WB (10%). The second factor obtained disease suppression values of RL + MgCl2+CaCl2 (-2%), RLWB + MgCl2+CaCl2 (-2%), and WB + MgCl2+CaCl2 (8%). The application of biostimulants had no significant effect on the nursery phase and the application of biostimulants and MgCl2+CaCl2 also had no significant effect on the adult plant phase.
