The level of spirituality and self-efficacy is still a debate in several studies on a person's lifestyle. A good lifestyle is integral to hypertension management, apart from medication it is essential to improve diet, exercise or physical activity, quit smoking and drinking alcohol. This study aims to determine the relationship between the level of spirituality and self-efficacy with the lifestyle of hypertensive patients. This study uses a cross sectional approach with a responden selection technique using total sampling. The research sample consisted 44 hypertensive respondents who were hospitalized at Pusri Palembang Hospital. The results of the spearman rank test on the level of spirituality showed a p-value of 0,000 and a correlation coefficient of 0,550, which means that there is a relationship between a moderate level of significance and a positive direction between the level of spirituality and lifestyle in hypertensive patients. The results of the test on self-efficacy show a p-value of 0.000 and a correlation coefficient of 0,575 which means that there is a moderate significance relationship with a positive direction between self-efficacy and lifestyle in hypertensive patients. Making a more positive outlook on life, increasing motivation and strengthening character and being able to adapt because of having a good level of spirituality will help individuals have a sense of responsibility to determine the lifestyle they want to live. Individual confidence that they are able to solve challenges and achieve life goals arises if they have high self-efficacy which will determine the selection of a good lifestyle and take responsibility for their own health.
