The aim of this research is to determine and describe the role of social capital consisting of trust, social norms, social networks, in groups of lowland rice farmers in Pemulutan Ulu, Pemulutan District, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra. This research lasted for one month, namely in October 2023. The data used in this research was primary data obtained from direct interviews and observations. Interviews were conducted with the help of a questionnaire. Village heads and members of farmer groups represent the community. The number of respondents was 65 people, all of whom were group members. Secondary data was obtained from the Pemulutan Village Office, local bookstores and via the internet. Internet via Science Direct to get articles from various scientific journals and theses from other universities related to research on the Role of Social Capital in Rice Farming Groups. The research results show an index figure of 57.62%, meaning it belongs to the existing category. Thus, the role of social capital is well realized in the Farmer Group in Pemulutan Ulu Village, Pemulutan District, Ogan Ilir Regency in the form of trust, social norms and social networks. Group members live a high social life both within the group and outside the group, namely strengthening family ties, tolerance and efforts so that the livestock business can run well.
