PRODUKSI Arthrospira platensis PADA MEDIA AIR LIMBAH BUDIDAYA IKAN GABUS SISTEM BIOFLOK DENGAN AGITASI BERBEDA
Arthrospira platensis is a type of planktonic filamentous cyanobacterium composed of individual cells. It contains protein, polyunsaturated fatty acids, phycobiliproteins, carotenoids, polysaccharides, vitamins, and minerals. One of the most important things related to the growth of Arthrospira platensis in wastewater is the development of simple technology to produce it for animal or human feed. This research aims to determine the difference between efficient and optimal mixing of culture media for Arthrospira platensis culture in snakehead fish cultivation wastewater media. The study used two treatments and three replications for 14 days with different agitation. The control treatment had aeration for 24 hours a day (P0), while the other treatment had water wheel stirring for 12 hours a day (P1). The study looked at four parameters: the maximum density growth rate of Arthrospira platensis, the specific growth rate of Arthrospira platensis, phycocyanin yield, and R/C ratio effort analysis. The specific growth rates in treatment P0 and P1 were 9.48 ± 0.85% day-1 and 10.39 ± 2.38% day-1 respectively. The maximum density of biomass in treatment P0 and P1 were 7.06 ± 0.66 g L-1 and 6.71 ± 0.58 g L-1 respectively, on ten days of culturing time. Phycocyanin yield of biomass P0 and P1 were 1.82 ± 0.97% dry biomass and 6.63 ± 4.38% dry biomass respectively. The R/C ratio of P0 and P1 production of Arthrospira platensis were 1.50 ± 0.15 and 2.70 ± 0.47 respectively. Both producing with different agitation can be economically feasible.
