PENGARUH PENDIDIKAN KESEHATAN DENGAN METODE CERAMAH DAN MEDIA FOH-CARD TERHADAP PENGETAHUAN PASIEN HIPERTENSI TENTANG KEGAWATDARURATAN HIPERTENSI
The knowledge of hypertension patients about hypertension emergencies is known to be lacking. Lack of knowledge will affect hypertension patients in dealing with recurrent or taking preventive measures againts complications, one of which is hypertension emergencies. This study aims to determine the effect of health education with lecture methods and FOH-Card media on hypertension patients’ knowledge about hypertension emergencies. This study was a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest with control group design. The sample in this study consisted of 34 respondents divided into two experimental and control groups. Knowledge was measured using a knowledge questionnaire consisting of 27 questions. The results of the statistical test used the Independent T-Test showed a mean difference value of 4.412 which was greater in score of the knowledge of the experimental group compared to the control group, and a p value of 0.000 < 0.05. The results of this study showed that there was a significant effect of providing health education with the lecture method and FOH-Card media on the hypertension patients’ knowledge. The innovation of FOH-Card media with brief and clear material and deeper information reinforcement through the lecture method can be used to increase knowledge about hypertension emergencies.
