PENGARUH PERBEDAAN INTENSITAS NAUNGAN TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL BAYAM BATIK (AMARANTHUS TRICOLOR)
Batik spinach is one type of vegetable that is widely favored by the public and belongs to the Amaranthaceae family. The use of shade in cultivation activities is one of the efforts to create suitable environmental conditions for the growth of batik spinach. This study aims to analyze the effect of different shade intensities on the growth and yield of batik spinach (Amaranthus tricolor). This research was conducted in Jakabaring (104464 BT, 3013 LS), Palembang, South Sumatra Province from August to September. The research was conducted using the Randomized Block Design (RBD) method consisting of 1 (one) factor, namely the intensity of shade density consisting of 4 treatments, namely no shade (N0), 45% shade (N1), 55% shade (N2), and 80% shade (N3). Each treatment was repeated 4 (four) times, where each replicate contained 3 (three) plants. The data obtained were analyzed using the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) method and the 5% BNT test. The results showed that batik spinach plants grown with different shade intensity treatments showed the best results in the N2 treatment (55% shade).
