PENGARUH PUPUK CAIR ASAL RHIZOSFER BAMBU DAN KOMPOS-BIOCHAR TERHADAP N-TOTAL TANAH SERTA PERTUMBUHAN DAN PRODUKSI TANAMAN CAISIM (BRASSICA JUNCEA L.) PADA ULTISOL
Ultisol soils have low nutrient content, especially organic matter. One of the efforts to increase its fertility is the use of organic fertilizer from bamboo roots. Rhizobacteria in the root zone can fix free nitrogen from the air, increase the availability of N nutrients, and reduce N loss due to leaching. Compost plays a role in improving soil structure, while biochar can increase pH and retain nutrients. This study aims to assess the effect of liquid fertilizer from bamboo rhizosphere and compost-biochar on N nutrient availability and growth and yield of choy sum (Brassica juncea L.) on Ultisol. The research was conducted from September to December 2024 at the Plastic House, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, using a Randomized Complete Factorial Design (RAL) factorial with two factors and 36 experimental units. The results showed that bamboo rhizosphere liquid fertilizer and compost-biochar had a significant effect on soil pH, N-total, growth, and yield of choy sum. The combination of liquid fertilizer from rhizosphere bamboo and compost-biochar significantly increased soil N-total availability. The best treatment was obtained with a dose of liquid fertilizer 180 ml polybag-1 and compost-biochar 20 ton ha-1, which provided optimal improvements in soil pH, N-total, growth, and yield of caisim.
