Horticultural crops are vegetables, fruits, ornamental plants and biopharmaceuticals. Horticultural crops are also widely developed crops in the commodity market. One of the causes of declining horticultural crop production is due to pest and disease attacks. In carrying out pest and disease control, using pesticides is the main control that farmers often use. According to farmers, controlling using pesticides is an effective and efficient control. However, improper use of pesticides can have negative impacts on health and environment. So based on the description above, this study was conducted to evaluate the pesticide implementation by horticultural crop farmers in Ogan Ilir Regency and its effect on pests and diseases. This research was carried out from May to December 2023. This research was started with interviewing farmers of horticultural crops that use synthetic pesticides. The method used in this study is purposive sampling, for which the farmer samples were selected based on certain assessment criteria i.e. cultivating horticultural crop at least 300m2 and have no objection for their crops to be observed. The pesticide score obtained by horticultural crop farmers was 212.53 means that the obedience of horticultural farmers in Ogan Ilir in implementing pesticide correctly and safely is in moderate category. The implementation of pesticides by horticultural farmers in Ogan Ilir Regency has not yet properly followed the instruction and recommendation
