PENGARUH SPRINGHOLE GAME TERHADAP PENGETAHUAN TENTANG DETEKSI DINI KANKER PAYUDARA PADA REMAJA AWAL
Breast self-examination (BSE) is one of the important efforts made to early detect lumps in the breast. Lack of knowledge about early detection of breast cancer can be one of the causes of low awareness of adolescents towards BSE. Efforts to detect breast cancer early in adolescent girls can be done by providing information through health education. This study aims to determine the effect of Springhole Game media on knowledge about early detection of breast cancer in early adolescents. This study used a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test post-test non-equivalent control group approach. The sample of this study was 44 respondents using stratified random sampling. The instrument used in this study was a knowledge questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The results of the statistical test using the Paired T-Test showed that the average value of respondents' knowledge was 5.045 for the springhole game intervention group and 3.818 for the booklet control group, and there was a significant difference between knowledge in each intervention and control group (p-value 0.000). The results of the Independent T-Test showed that there was an influence of knowledge in the springhole game intervention group higher than the booklet control group p-value < (a 0.05). The results of the study also showed that the increase in knowledge using springhole game media was greater than using booklet media. This study recommends that the use of springhole games can be an intervention option in providing health education to improve female students' knowledge about early detection of breast cancer.
