KARAKTERISTIK SERAPAN GELOMBANG MIKRO MATERIAL KOMPOSIT Y2.5La0.5Fe5O12 DAN Ba0.9Sr0.1Fe2O4 DENGAN VARIASI SUHU SINTERING
This study aims to investigate the microwave absorption characteristics of Y2.5La0.5Fe5O12 and Ba0.9Sr0.1Fe2O4 composite materials with variations in sintering temperature. This study uses yttrium iron garnet or YIG (Y3Fe5O12) material substituted with La3+ elements and Barium Monoferrite (BaFe2O4) substituted with Sr3+ elements. The synthesis of composite compounds was carried out using the solid state reaction method with three variations in sintering temperature; 700ºC, 900ºC, and 1100ºC. The results of the XRD analysis study showed that the main phases of yttrium iron garnet (Y3Fe5O12) and barium monoferrite (BaFe2O4) had been successfully formed in all composite samples made. SEM shows that the higher the sintering temperature, the smaller the particle size or morphology formed. VSM shows the magnetic properties of the material, and the sintering temperature affects the resulting magnetic properties. VNA shows that this material is able to absorb microwaves by 90%, in this study the temperature of 1100°C has the highest absorption rate.
