EVALUASI KESUBURAN TANAH PADA LAHAN PASCA TAMBANG TIMAH PT. TIMAH TBK. DI DESA SIMPANG KATIS, KECAMATAN SIMPANG KATIS KABUPATEN BANGKA TENGAH PROVINSI KEPULAUAN BANGKA BELITUNG
Soil fertility is the ability of the soil to provide essential nutrients in available form and in an appropriate balance. Mining often causes environmental damage, including decreasing soil quality. This thesis aims to evaluate soil fertility on post-mining land and provide recommendations for land rehabilitation to make it productive again. Objectives The aim of this research is to determine the status of soil fertility in the post-tin mining land of PT. Timah Tbk Simpang Katis Village, Simpang Katis District, West Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Province. This research was conducted from August to November 2024 located in Simpang Katis Village, Simpang Katis District, West Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Province using a detailed level survey research method with a scale of 1:10,000 which has an area of 9 Ha. Random sampling was carried out with 6 samples on post-mining land. with a mining time period of 3 years. The parameters observed include soil chemical properties, namely soil pH, soil N-total, soil organic C, soil available P, soil K-DD, Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC) and Soil Base Saturation. The research results show that the soil fertility status is in the very low category. Conclusions: Soil on post-tin mining land in Simpang Katis Village, Bangka Belitung Province, tends to experience a decrease in fertility due to physical, chemical and biological changes in the soil during the mining process.
