EROSI TANAH PADA PERKEBUNAN KARET (HEVEA BRASILIENSIS L.) DI PAGAR AGUNG KECAMATAN LAHAT KABUPATEN LAHAT SUMATERA SELATAN
Soil is one of the important natural resources in the sustainability of plant life and environmental sustainability. The decline in the level of soil capability is indicated by soil erosion which can reduce the ability of soil and environmental functions. The value of erosion is influenced by the factors of rainfall erosivity, soil erodibility, slope, land management and conservation measures. The location of this research is in Pagar Agung Rubber Plantation (Havea bransiliensis L.), Lahat Subdistrict, Lahat Regency, South Sumatra, which has a slope that ranges from 14-26% which includes a gentle to steep slope class. This research uses a detailed survey method at a map scale of 1: 4,000 and uses the USLE (Universal Soil Loss Equation) method to analyze erosion values and determine sampling points with a total of 9 composite results points. The results of soil erosion values on rubber plantations in Pagar Agung where the highest erosion value is found at location 9 which is 111.67 tons ha-1 year-1 and the smallest at location 6 with an erosion value of 19.18 tons ha-1 year-1. This shows that the actual erosion value that occurs in the Pagar Agung rubber plantation, Lahat District is in the low to medium category, this allows the plantation to focus on more intensive protection and management in these areas to reduce losses due to erosion
