KAJIAN KETERSEDIAAN ALAT DAN MESIN PERTANIAN DI DESA TAPUS DAN DESA KANDIS KECAMATAN PAMPANGAN, KABUPATEN OGAN KOMERING ILIR, SUMATERA SELATAN
Indonesia, as an agrarian country, depends on the agricultural sector, especially rice crops, which play an important role in economic development and food security. Agricultural mechanization enhances productivity through the use of agricultural tools and machinery (alsintan). However, in Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, particularly in Tapus Village and Kandis Village, there are still limitations in the availability of alsintan, despite these villages having vast rice fields. This study identifies the types of alsintan available, evaluates their adequacy, and provides recommendations for alsintan management in Tapus Village and Kandis Village. Primary data were obtained through surveys and direct interviews with informants, while secondary data were sourced from the Survey Investigation Design (SID) OPLA reports of Tapus Village and Kandis Village. The study results indicate that Tapus Village has a sufficient number of two-wheeled tractors, power threshers, water pumps, and hand sprayers but lacks, combine harvesters, dryers, cultivator and milling machines. Meanwhile, Kandis Village faces even greater shortages, particularly in two-wheeled tractors, power threshers, combine harvesters, four-wheeled tractors, cultivator and milling machines. Essentially, both villages suffer from significant shortages of agricultural tools and machinery. These deficiencies hinder agricultural efficiency and force farmers to rent alsintan from other villages. Keywords: Agricultural mechanization, agricultural tools and machines, Tapus Village, Kandis Village
