PENGARUH KONSENTRASI ETANOL TERHADAP KADAR POLIFENOL, TANIN DAN AKTIVITAS ANTIOKSIDAN EKSTRAK SERABUT BUAH NIPAH (NYPA FRUTICANS)
This study aims to determine the effect of ethanol concentration on the levels of polyphenols, flavonoids and tannins as well as the antioxidant activity of nipah (Nypa fruticans) husk extract produced. This study was conducted experimentally in the laboratory with ethanol concentration treatment consisting of 4 levels (concentrations of 50%, 60%, 70% and 80%) and repeated 3 times. The parameters measured in this study include extract yield, bioactive compounds (polyphenols and tannins), antioxidant activity using DPPH method. The values obtained are described in the form of figures, tables and graphs, and continued with the BNJ (Real Honest Difference) test. The results showed the yield of nipah fiber extract with ethanol concentrations of 50%, 60%, 70% and 80% respectively of 17,74%, 14,25%, 13,66% and 14,83%. The total polyphenol content in nipah fruit fiber extract ethanol concentrations of 50%, 60%, 70% and 80% respectively were 15,48 mg GAE/g dry sample, 8,08 mg GAE/g dry sample, 16,63 mg GAE/g dry sample and 14,71 mg GAE/g dry sample. The total tannin content of nipah fiber extract 50%, 60%, 70% and 80% respectively was 255,54 mg TAE/g dry sample, 228,27 mg TAE/g dry sample, 257,67 mg TAE/g dry sample and 232,87 mg TAE/g dry sample. Antioxidant activity using the DPPH method resulted in IC50 values in nipah fiber extracts with ethanol concentrations of 50%, 60%, 70% and 80% respectively- of 0,209 mg / mL, 0,239 mg / mL, 0,368 mg / mL and 0,430 mg / mL.
